There's
this Radiohead song and it sort of has a lot to do with life.
My life at least.
It's called Let Down.
Let Down
Radiohead
Transport, motorways and tramlines
Starting and then stopping
Taking off and landing
The emptiest of feelings
Disappointed people clinging onto
bottles
When it comes it's so so disappointing
Let down and hanging around
Crushed like a bug in the ground
Let down and hanging around
Shell smashed, juices flowing, wings
twitch, legs are going
Don't get sentimental
It always ends up drivel
One day I am gonna grow wings
A chemical reaction
Hysterical and useless
Hysterical and
Let down and hanging around
Crushed like a bug in the ground
Let down and hanging around
Let down again
Let down again
Let down again
You know
You know where you are with
You know where you are with
Floor collapsing
Floating, bouncing back
And one day
I am going to grow wings
A chemical reaction
[You are, you are]
Hysterical and useless
[You are, you are]
Hysterical and
[You'll know where you are one day]
Let down and hanging around
Crushed like a bug in the ground
Let down and hanging around
So what does this have to do with life? Well people seem to think that I have my life set out. But I don't. And I don't think many people know either. I guess I'll know where I am one day. Right now I don't know "where I am with" so don't act like I do, people.
